Full Dura-Ace 7900 groupset, sub 15 pound* carbon bike for $2300 or best offer. FRAME NOT YOUR SIZE? Upgrade your existing bike with the best Shimano has to offer and top of the line build parts.
As some of you may or may not know, I started a custom bicycle company a month ago so I need to make room for my 2010 demo. I'm selling my current bike and it's a slammin' deal. This is easily a $6000 bike if you were to buy all the parts and had it built.
Here's what you get:
A 936 gram monocoque carbon frame. This the same exact frame as a Wilier Izoard, built in the same factory, same lay up, same geometry (2006-2007 specs), same weight and same 3k weave. This is a medium frame. If you typically ride a 54cm, 55cm or 56cm sized frame with an effective top tube length of 54 to 56cm, this bike will fit you.
Geometry is as follows:
Effective top tube length: 55cm
Seat tube heigth: 52cm
Head tube heigth: 140mm
Head tube/fork angle: 73 degrees
Seat tube angle: 73.5
Chain stays: 405mm
Wheelbase: 980mm
Full Shimano Dura-Ace 7900 groupset, includes 7900 53/39 crankset w/ 172.5 crank arms, 7900 bottom bracket, 7900 12-25 cassette, 7900 front and rear derailleurs, 7900 chain, 7900 shifters, 7900 brakes and cables.
Easton EC90 SL carbon fork. 340 grams. Plenty of steerer length left to accomodate fit (check out spacers in pics)
FSA cabon steerer lock, carbon spacers
Cane Creek IS-8 integrated headset
31.6 P2 carbon seat post 300mm (setback)180 grams
Selle Italia SLR Carbonio saddle with carbon rails (140 grams)
Bontrager Race X Lite 110mm stem (123 grams)
FSA 44cm K-Wing carbon handlebars or 42cm K-Force handlebars (227 grams)
Shimano RS-80 C24 carbon clincher wheelset (1490 grams)
New Continental GP4000-S tires
*Without bottle cages and pedals.

| Too bad this frame is not ~51cm, or I would snatch this deal in a heartbeat! |

| It's a 52cm. Keep in mind that the more important number is effective top tube length. The geometry of this bike is more like a 54cm/55cm frame (55cm effective top tube). The seat tube heigth means very little. How tall are you? |

I am just under 5'6" with a 29" inseam. I currently ride a 52 cm frame with the following specs, so I may want to come look at it:
Seat Tube (C-T) = 52 cm
Seat Tube (C-C) = 46 cm
Top Tube Length = 53 cm
Head Tube Length = 130 mm
Chain Stay Length = 405 mm
Head Tube Angle = 73 degrees
Seat Tube Angle = 74.5 degrees
Where do you live/work? I am in Lewisville.
Too bad you don't still have the dimpled Zipp 808s for sale, I would have liked those too! |

Is the top tube measurement "effective" or actual?
What is the wheelbase?
This bike geometry:
Seat tube (C-T) is 52cm
Top tube length is 53.5cm
Effective top tube length is 55cm
Chain stay length is 40.5
Head tube length is 140mm
Wheelbase 980mm
Head tube angle: 73
seat tube angle: 73.5
I'm 5'8.5" or 5'9" or so and my inseam is 30". I ride with alot of exposed seat post which is setback and a 110mm long stem. I started out with a 100mm stem but I like a nice low and stretched out position.
Your best bet would be to just throw a leg over it and check your stand over heigth and maybe take it for a spin. I bet it will be really close. You could use a shorter stem and a non set back post and maybe get the fit spot on. You'll also probably want the 42cm FSA K-Force handlebars. The 42s are more like a 40. 44s more like a 42 the way FSA does their measurements.
I'm near Denton and can meet anytime or anywhere you like (I have a very flexible schedule).
The Zipps were 404s and sold in less than 3 days.
You can e-mail me directly at pelotonracer2@yahoo.com if you want to set up a time and place to meet.

The TT measurement is actual, but not effective.
I would be glad to try it, that would be the only way to determine whether my current measurements would translate to your bike. |
