"Ride Like A Girl" has become a Lone Star Radonneur saying that is not your typical childhood taunt. The Last Chance 1200K (750 miles) ride in Colorado was recently completed and two LSR "girls" completed the ride. Sharon Stevens who attended our Yoga for Cyclist was a strong finisher. She completed the ride in 69:52 which qualifies her for RAAM (Race Across America). Vickie Tyler followed that up 3 hours later and also qualified for RAAM.
I've ridden with Sharon several times and she is always learning and helping others learn how to go long. She's not a fast rider, but knows the pace that she wants and can maintain and has proven it with lots of miles. Sharon rides with the Plano Cycling Club when she is not going long.
Corinth Cycling has some women that I think can "Ride Like A Girl". Lone Star has some of the top long distance riders in the nation. If you ever want to go long let me know I can have you meet some of these folks.
