The Torrent Sets New Course Record in Win
The Torrent (Gerald Torrence) delivered a new course record as he took the overall victory in the August 20th edition of the Bicycle Path Time Trial Series. The Torrent tamed the three sisters while maintaining an average speed of 24.3 mph on the 7.6 mile out and back course. "I came, I saw, I conquered" mused the Torrent to Sag Wagon News on the finish line. "My new Cervelo bike is light and all, but all the credit goes to the engine room and I have a diesel". Other CCC team members finished strong as well with Dewey Decimal taking 4th overall at 20:16, The Boss placed 6th at 20:37 while The Professor finished in 9th at 21:07. This is a great event which takes place at 7:00pm on the next three Wednesdays and is completely free. All you have to do is show up and ride. Please come out and support this series.
