Support Your Local Bike Shops
On the Mt. Scott trip, I encountered trouble with my derailer not being able to get into the small ring. I took my bike over to the Bike Path and a quick review of the bike indicated that it was a major problem and would be a warranty item. Although Gary was busy, he was able to fit me. As I had purchased the bike at Blue Bonnet and am working in Lewisville, I took my bike to them on Monday. They are really backed up with all the good weather riders coming out this time of year. Scott carved out some time, took a look at it and determined that it would need new parts. He order the parts and they are being shipped in from Colorado on Thursday. Will be a warranty item. Both these stores are locally owned and operated. You may be able to find lower price on a bike or parts, but the local service and support can't be beat. Use the internet for some purchases, but also support your local bike shop. You can't talk to the box, its nice to have people.
