Pearl Izumi Factory Outlet
Hi, Last Saturday, Sarah and I finally succumbed to the "Pearl Izumi" temptation that we'd been trying to avoid after every TRI we've participated this year. In several race packets we had received a 15% discount coupon for the Pearl Izumi outlet in Fort Worth. With my friend Joan from Barcelona being here and with the excuse of the strong euro-dollar conversion (and the fact that he couldn't leave without going to the Stockyards and Billy Bob's) we finally headed down south to check out this place. OK... if you've been there, what I'm about to say won't be new... the store is simply awesome. It is far away from having an outlet feel, it's more like a boutique and one of the nicest shops I've visited. It has incredible variety, great service, and GREAT prices. I bought a super-premium-top of the line bike short that was $199 for $85 with my 15% coupon. (I heard this short pedals for you :P) Sarah and Joan got some cool stuff too. Anyways, if you are a Pearl Izumi fan and you haven't been there, you must go, you will be surprised. Summer gear, winter gear, accessories, shoes, everything from Sesame Street jerseys to Team Garmin/Chipotle racing gear. And besides all of their bike line, they also carry a very impressive line of running and general fitness gear as well and Rudy Project helmets.
