Bad Luck Can Be Good - Continued Dan Difficulties
Seems as if I have had a stream of mechanical difficulties lately. Thursday, I went for a ride by myself and broke a cleat. Had to ride home and take my shoe off to get detached from the bike. Then Sunday coming into the parking lot blew out my tire - not the tube the tire. Scared the bejebers out me. Cussed a little and thought why is all this happening to me. In retrospect its not all bad. The cleat broke near home and I was able to ride back to the house. Could of been off on a long ride and have to sag in. The tire blow out could have been real bad. I had just come out of a turn and was going straight and slow when it blew. This also could have been on a long ride and it would have required a make shift repair. Scooter had a nice set of slightly used real good tires that he made me a deal on. Although my mechanical difficulties continue, I'm lucky they occurred at the right time. That being said I hope this is the last one for a while.
